Individual Arrested After Trying to Flee Jefferson City Crash

Jefferson, TN (September 8, 2020) At least one individual was arrested on September 8th after allegedly fleeing the scene of acar crash in Jefferson City. Jefferson City law enforcement stated that one victim was airlifted as a result of the single vehicle accident, which occurred on US Highway 11E at Rocktown Road. Law enforcement requested that motorists exercise caution while traveling through the area. Additional details about the accident are still under investigation.

In 2019, data compiled by the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security showed that Jefferson County ranked 45th among Tennessee counties for greatest number of car accidents. This equated to 42,205 licensed drivers in Jefferson County being involved in accidents.
