One of the steps that you can take as a motorist to greatly reduce the chance of being injured or killed in an accident is to wear a seatbelt. It’s also a good idea to make sure you drive defensively, which means avoiding placing your vehicle in a situation where it is likely to end up in a crash with other vehicles on the road. It’s also a good idea to never combine alcohol or drug use with operation of a motor vehicle.
