Two Vehicle Crash Occurs on Highway 70

Cumberland County, TN (December 16, 2020) A two vehicle crash is reported to have occurred on December 16th on the 1,100 block of Highway 70 East. Motorists passing through the area are advised to exercise caution. Details about the crash are pending and it still remains uncertain whether anyone was injured or killed in the crash, what caused the collision, and what the extent of the property damage from the crash is.

The National Safety Council reports that approximately 4.4 million individuals were seriously injured enough in 2019 car crashes to require medical attention. As of 2020, it remains uncertain how the number of people injured, killed, and impacted by car crashes will compare to years past. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, some people thought social isolation would result in fewer car crashes. This does not appear to have been the case, however, and a large number of people had their lives impacted as a result of Tennessee car crashes in 2020.
