According to WBIR 10 News Knoxville, the 43-year-old female driver from Knoxville had “consumed several drinks before driving and was attempting to turn left onto Northshore, when she collided with [a] motorcycle.” The accident, which involved a Dodge Durango and a motorcycle, occurred at around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning in the area of South Northshore Driver in Knoxville County. The 43-year-old alleged DUI driver was ultimately charged with both vehicular assault and Driving Under the Influence, under Tennessee laws. On the other hand, the female passenger that was riding on the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene.
