Injury Reported Following Crash in Cumberland County

CarAccident5

Cumberland County, TN (March 1, 2021) First responders in Cumberland County went to the scene of a vehicle crash in the 800 block of Peavine Road close to Volunteer Gas around 4 in the afternoon on March 1st. The accident resulted in the backing up of southbound traffic while crews worked to clear the motor vehicle involved in the accident. Additional details about how the crash occurred are still pending.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security reports that in 2020, 1,260 vehicle accidents occurred involving 939 cases of property damage, 301 accidents involving injuries, and 20 crashes involving fatalities. Some of the important advice you can follow to avoid ending up in car accidents is to maintain an adequate distance from other vehicles on the road, avoid getting distracted, never drive while fatigued, pay attention to the weather condition, and never travel too fast for the surrounding conditions. It’s also a good idea to practice defensive driving to help avoid accidents. This means minimizing the number of situations in which your vehicle is likely to get in an accident with other cars on the road.
