Driver Killed in Polk County Crash

Polk County, TN (October 30, 2020) A man was killed on October 30th following a single vehicle crash in Polk County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred close to US Highways 411 and 64. The accident when the westbound-traveling vehicle veered off the road. After entering grass, the vehicle struck a road sign and then a tree. The vehicle then drove off an embankment and struck railroad tracks. The vehicle eventually came to a stop on its side. While the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, fortunately no one else was injured.

In 2010, this equated to more than 7,600 individuals dying in rollovers.
