1 Person Injured After Semi-Truck Overturns on US 321
Lenoir City, TN (April 6, 2021) The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office helped the Tennessee Highway Patrol on April 6th after an overturned tractor-trailer led to the closure of the northbound lanes of US Highway 321. Around 9:50 in the morning, the multiple vehicle crash occurred at Tellico Parkway. Soon after, law enforcement reported that debris had scattered the road and that consequently the eastbound left lane and left shoulder were blocked. Soon after, it was reported that the bridge on US 321 in front of the Lenoir City dam was closed to westbound traffic due to a crash and garbage spill. According to law enforcement, the driver of the overturned vehicle was transported to a nearby emergency room for evaluation. These injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. An investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
