Three Women Killed in Wrong-Way Interstate 40 Accident
Cocke County, TN (August 24, 2020) Three women were killed in a wrong-way accident that occurred late on August 24th. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that a Ford Focus was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 when it collided head on with a pick-up truck. The Ford Focus’s driver as well as the two passengers were killed in the collision. The driver of the pick-up truck as well as its passengers were injured. Additional details about how the accident occurred are still being investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
