Three Vehicle Accidents in Sevier County

Accident2

Sevierville, TN (August 18, 2020) A man and three other individuals are hospitalized following a three vehicle accident that occurred on August 18th in Sevier County. The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on the east side of Interstate 40 close to mile marker 406 and approximately a mile from the Winfield Dunn Parkway exit. The accident occurred when a pick-up truck hauling a trailer collided with both another pick-up truck and a small passenger vehicle. The man in the truck not carrying the trailer was killed while the woman and child were injured. A person in the passenger vehicle was injured. No one in the vehicle hauling the trailer was harmed. The injured individuals were later transported by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. As a result of the collision, Interstate 40 East was shut down to one lane until 11 a.m., but has since re-opened.
