Morristown, TN (October 14, 2020) A woman in Morristown was seriously injured on October 14th in a one vehicle crash on East Andrew Johnson Highway close to the intersection of Larry Baker Road. Shortly before the accident, the woman picked up her child from school. The woman was driving her Nissan Altima on East Andrew Johnson Highway when she lost control of her vehicle. The car then rolled off the left side of the road into a ditch before traveling off the right side of the road and striking a street sign. The vehicle then swerved back onto East Andrew Johnson Highway before leaving the road from the right a second time. The car then rolled through a ditch and struck a second street sign. First responders reported that the woman was unresponsive when they arrived at the scene of the accident shortly before 3 in the afternoon. Due to her injuries, the woman was placed in critical condition in an intensive care unit at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Fortunately, the child was not injured in the crash.
