CarAcc10

Sullivan County, TN (December 8, 2020) A multiple vehicle accident occurred in Sullivan County on December 8th that resulted in the temporary closure of State Route 93. More specifically, the accident occurred between Kingsport and Fall Branch. Both north and southbound traffic were closed due to the accident. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through the area. Additional details about the crash are still unknown and the results of an investigation are pending.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that medical care costs, as well as costs associated with loss of productivity caused by injuries and fatalities from motor vehicle accidents, were greater than $75 billion in the United States in 2017. Some of the damages that people commonly end up facing due to car crashes include lost wages, large medical bills, pain and suffering, and costs associated with property damage. It is also possible to pursue compensation for loss of consortium, which is a legal action that is associated with loss of affection, companionship, and society experienced by the spouse of a person who is injured in an accident.
