The Causes of Deadly Single Vehicle Accidents

Sometimes when single vehicle accidents occur, they are actually the result of another driver’s negligence. Some of the ways in which another driver can create conditions that lead to a single vehicle accident include:

  • Drivers who veer into the opposing lane of traffic, but who fail to stop after causing another driver to swerve off road to avoid a collision
  • Improperly maintained roads or road imperfections can create unsafe driving surfaces that cause drivers to lose control of their vehicles
  • Improperly placed warning signs, speed limits that are too high, or not properly marking road surfaces can create deadly single vehicle accidents
  • Large pieces like mufflers or wheels can fall off of other vehicles and cause single vehicle accidents when a driver later strikes these objects
