Children Injured in Bon Air DUI Crash

Bon Air, TN (September 10, 2020) A car accident occurred in Bon Air on September 10th on Highway 70 that resulted in injuries for several people. Law enforcement reported that the driver of a Honda Odyssey was traveling west when her vehicle left the road, fell down an embankment, and struck rocks. The collision led to the vehicle rolling over. Due to the crash, the driver incurred minor injuries and was later charged with driving under the influence. The driver also received several reckless endangerment charges after four children in the vehicle between the ages of 6 month to 8 years old were also injured in the accident.

Data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that in 2017, approximately 116,000 children under the age of 12 were injured in car accidents.
