Car Crash Occurs in Crossville

shutterstock_199163753

Crossville, TN (November 25, 2020) A car crash occurred on November 25th in the 700 block of Peavine Road, which is situated just north of Interstate 40. Motorists were advised to exercise caution while traveling through the area. Additional details about the crash including what caused the accident, the extent of property damage caused, and whether anyone was injured remains uncertain.

The Tennessee Department of Safety has found that in Crossville’s Cumberland County, there were 1,380 car crashes in 2019. These accidents included 1,055 crashes that resulted in injuries and 18 accidents that led to deaths. One of the biggest problems with reciting accident statistics is that they often involve such big numbers that they become overwhelming. As a result, it helps to understand that these Cumberland County accident statistics translate to someone in Cumberland County getting injured every 2 to 3 days as a result of an accident. This also means that more than once a month in Cumberland County, someone loses their life as a result of a motor vehicle crash. If you find yourself one of these unfortunate numbers, remember you are not alone.
