Tennessee Essure Lawyer
Essure is a permanently implanted birth control device for women. Coils are inserted into the fallopian tubes and, over time, protective tissue forms around the coils resulting in a barrier that keeps eggs from passing through to the uterus. Since 2015 the FDA has looked into many complaints of adverse effects associated with Essure, including uterine wall perforation, fallopian tube perforation and device removal surgery. In 2016, the manufacturer of Essure, Bayer, was required by the FDA to place proper labeling with important safety information and side effect warnings for patients.
